Ontario Lakehouse

Originate designed a floating summer cottage for a remote private lake in Ontario’s cottage country. The summer cottage has been designed with all the communal facilities on the upper floor. This area has been designed as one big open flexible space to cater to the communal ‘holiday’ atmosphere required by the client. In this space, the high ceilings and large picture windows capture the lake breezes and afford incredible views over the water.

The bedrooms and more private spaces are located on the deck level below. This allows each bedroom to operate independently with direct access to the water for swimming and canoeing.
