Palace Quarter Apartment

The apartment is in a four-storey building with internal courtyard in the heart of Budapest’s Palace Quarter in District VIII. The original apartment was split into a one-bedroom pied-a-terre with a self-contained studio for guests. The original Art Nouveau doors and frames were kept, but most of the original decoration had been lost. Minimal wall mouldings were added to provide scale to the high-ceilinged rooms and contain the client’s artworks. The floors were a light oak timber with white walls and Mouille lighting.
