Southwark Smart Space

Originate Architects have submitted a planning application to transform an unused underground car park into 2000 square metres of co-working space in Camberwell. The South London location hopes to attract a variety of young professionals and creatives, and aims to help meet the rise in demand for co-working developments. The existing car park has been disused for over 20 years. The proposal will bring the space back to life, keeping all the existing structure, and adding selective new materials to soften the existing concrete, such as polycarbonate and timber. A new timber stair will provide access to the roof deck, a vast public space with new seating and greenery.
